A life of Service

Tom has dedicated his life to his family, friends, and community service

Tom Rodman retired in 2015 from a 40-year career on Wall Street where he worked as an investment advisor serving clients in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.

He is currently CEO of Fox Hill Real Estate, a single property real estate management company located in Camden Maine.  He is also the Founder and CEO of Borden Cottage which is hailed by experts in the field as the best residential rehabilitation facility for the treatment of addictions and co-occurring diagnosis in the country.

Tom holds a degree in history and political science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has also completed studies at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the New York Institute of Finance and the College for Financial Planning. In addition, he formally taught Modern Portfolio Theory and Securities Analysis at New York University.  Prior to his career in finance, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Quite apart from his investment management activities, he is a co-founder and current board chair of STRIVE International, a workforce development agency in the U.S., U.K. and Israel, designed to assist disadvantaged young people. Since its founding in 1984, STRIVE has been featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes three times and has placed over 60,000 people in private sector jobs.

Tom and his wife, Mariella, now live in Camden, Maine.  They have two grown children both of whom live in New York City. In his spare time, Tom enjoys training for an occasional marathon and honing his skills as an amateur percussionist. Tom is always telling us that when he grows up, he wants to play drums for Earth, Wind & Fire on a world tour.
